Tonight on the show we are joined by Sydney producer Stan Forebee. He will be having a chat to us about his music making process, his inspirations, the Sydney scene & more.

As son of a jazz pianist and a choir vocalist, Stan Forebee found his way into music through his family. He was brought up with jazz, classical music and being teached by his father to play piano at the age of four. Later on, Stan picked up the guitar and other instruments to use for his own compositions and recordings. Piano has always been his first love, as the instrument will be heard through a lot of his music. When Stan discovered hiphop influenced by jazz and soul through artists like Dilla and Flying Lotus, he was drawn to the instrumental world and the endless openness of beats. His debut album Jazz Sessions was born and soon after, his second project Reflections followed. At the moment Stan has finished two new instrumental recordings, written short film scores and received major attention with his alterego Beatsofreen through the Full Circle album. Stan Forebee's latest releases is out on Blvnt Records, entitled 'Silhouettes'.
